Dennis Pavao was born on the Big Island at Kalapana, and now resides in Lahaina Maui. He is musical Director for Tihati production of "Drums of the Pacific at the Hyatt in Kaanapapali. He has worked for Disney, the National Park organization, various TV shows, and received numerous Na Hoku Hanohano awards, the Hawaiian equivilant of a Grammy.

A member also of the famous Hawaiian traditional group Hui Ohana, Dennis is a veteran entertainer. This is a favorite collection of old hula songs. In 1996 he shared his falsetto voice with audiences at Carnegie Hall in New York.
