Comments: KUmZ, made up of Na Kumu Hula (Hula Teachers) Karl Veto Baker and Michael Casupang opened their hula school, Halau I Ka Wekiu on March 15 1998. This CD project celebrates the 10th Anniversary of this award winning halau through ttheir original compositions centering around their halau experiences.

Graduating in 1995 as Kuku Hula from renowed Kumu HUla Robert Cazimero, these two teachers have over 55 years combined experience in dancing artistry and teaching excellence in teh art of Hula.

Most recently, Halau I Ka Wekiu garnered four first place awards including the overall festival award at the 2007 Merrie Monarch Hula festival held annually in Hilo.

KUmZ shares 14 beautifully crafted songs written, arranged, and which performed by this multi-talented duo, fuels the present insurgence to perpetuate `oloelo Hawai`i (Hawaiian language) through music, poetry, and dance.
