Comments from the cassette liner: "Above the church at Wai'oli rise the peaks of Namolakama with its unforgettable waterfalls, thus the name "waioli" or "joyful waters" flowing from the mountain and giving life to all. The Hawaiian/multi-ethnic choir produces a Hawaiian sound that echoes the traditions of generations. The album is mainly the music of one family, joined by cousins and a few longtime friends. The album was produced by Graham Nash and Stanley Johnston at the church on a day filled with plumeria and iilima leis."

Reviews:

We heard of this tape from hikers completing a trek through the Kalalau valley, who heard it echoing through the valley one evening while setting up camp. Beautiful acapella harmonies of distinctly Hawaiian song provided that hiker with a transcendant experience. Since then we've had recurring requests for this "acapella Kalalau" tape, and finally found a friend from the church who has it.
